Bo Van Pelt Takes Home Winner's Prize.
There was no last put excitement in this years CIMB Asia Pacific Golf concluded @ Beautiful mines.
Bo started the last day in the lea and, continued his easy march to pocket US $ 1.3+ million prize, his biggest career win. It came unexpectedly with no intense interest in taking part due to family being first during off season leisure. Mrs. Bo thought, 'Hey why not try a tropical holiday?'. So he came with a very relaxed mind with no intention of winning but enjoying the holiday. The antidote for getting the best out of what you have. That has been the personal experience of many golfers, playing the best when the effort is not to win but to enjoy staying focused. One does not need any special mental training for that. Simply enjoy the focus and not play with a strain of executing perfect shot. Perfection comes naturally when the attitude is right, the practice is right and the focus is a joy. Real deep mediation by it self gives untold joy. Golf is form of meditation. A state of mind that has no burden, no constraints, no responsibility, no craving. At that state of mind, one will feel the joy of lightness.
Damaru Media spoke to Bo's caddy and he said Bo was playing in such a relaxed manner and made no errors despite having such a huge lead. This is because his focus was naturally geared to enjoy and hence the lead was widened at the 18th hole. A few excited, crazy crowd were waiting for Bo to make errors, so the finish would bring about excitement. It never happened. One millions three hundred thousand dollars for enjoying four days of golf is a fine way to live.
Damaru Media, wondered why the Asians are behind even in home soil. What is lacking in them? The one word answer that springs to mind is - attitude. Van Pelt said, "I feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I get to do what I love to do for a living." This attitude makes ALL THINGS COME RIGHT. His win says it all; despite hot and humid conditions which were very unusual to him, he birdied five of the last eight holes for a 7-under 64 and a six-stroke victory.
